Tim Fisher is the pastor of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Pastor Fisher grew up on a cattle ranch 17 miles northwest of Baker City at the base of the Elkhorn Mountains. After graduating from Baker High School, Pastor Fisher attended Chemeketa Community College from 1987 to 1989 where he earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.
Pastor Fisher served at the Baker County Sheriff's Office for 21 years in various capasities. 17 of those years he served as a Deputy Sheriff in the patrol division, retiring medically in 2007 as a Patrol Seargant.
Pastor Fisher trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour along with his wife Roxann December 11, 1993. He served as a deacon from 1994 and attended Baptist Bible Institute from 1996 to 2001 where he graduated with a Theology Degree. He became the Assistant Pastor of Elkhorn Baptist church in April of 2008 and served in that positon until becoming the volunteer Seinor Pastor June 27, 2013. |
